There are websites like About.com and HowStuffWorks that give you a literary way to learn about different subjects and how-tos to accomplish tasks.  Instructables.com have those all important visuals for those of us who need to see  how to do something.  The Green section of Instructables.com has a bunch of how-to DIY articles & videos like:  Building Your Own Earth Box, Homemade DIY Grey Water System, Make Your Life Efficient, One sock, 3 Products, Four Lives of a Side Table, Tumbleweed Chandelier, and so many more!  Another great feature of this site is that you can read comments of people who have tried the how-tos and discussed their experiences.  I'm dying to try the Press Aluminum Cans into Ceiling and Wall Tiles.
