Thursday, September 10th, ForestEthics- a non profit organization dedicated to saving the trees, put on a glam, oh so Eco Chic event called 100 Million Trees.

The party's hostess, Nadine Well created an inspirational environment with bio-dynamic wines, sustainable fashion, hors d'oeuvres, an eco silent auction and some of the tastiest cocktails I have had in a long time! Everywhere you went, you were surrounded by goodness. Not only was the scene festive and fun, but it also brought together a group of people that all came from different walks of the sustainable world and were able to inspire each other in different ways. It was a feel good party for a fantastic cause.

To give you a brief overview of the ForestEthics, they are a nonprofit organization that has helped to save over 65 million acres of forests ~ over 45 billion trees. ForestEthics has helped many different fortune 500 companies reduce consumption as well motivated companies such as Victoria Secret and Williams Sonoma to switch to recycled and sustainable paper in millions of catalogs. ForestEthics has launched the campaign for a national Do Not Mail list that would be similar to the successful Do Not Call list. 100 million trees per year are at stake, and 100,000 signatures have already been collected. In March 2009, ForestEthics achieved a historic victory when SF passed the first-ever Do Not Mail resolution.
