Are you still looking for blogging and editor interns?

We are still looking for intern bloggers and editors to write and create communities around "stuff" that we don't yet cover, as well as myriad other markets and genres. We have a long way to go before we meet our goal. If you are interested in becoming a Furnicology blogger and joining the site's team, you need to have a few key characteristics and knowledgeable about sustainability and design. You will not be considered unless you meet the criteria through an interview process, so please only contact us if you're certain you think you can fulfill our requirements. Our criteria is explained below.

Can I blog for your site?

Prospective bloggers and editors must have a blogging or online editing track record for the genre they want to write about. We're not concerned with the amount of traffic you have, or professional experience. Rather, we want to see a proven commitment to your passion, regular updates and quality writing. What do we consider "quality" writing? We can't describe it, but we know it when we see it. If you're passionate about something like a genre, market, or sport we don't cover (yet...), but haven't started blogging yet, we suggest starting out on your own with a free service such as WordPress or Blogger. Put a month or two of effort into it and see if you have the writing talent and the time devotion necessary to be a strong blogger. And if you're ready to make the commitment, contact us and we'll see if we have a roster spot for you.

We have a substantial internship program for college students and graduate candidates in journalism, computer science, business administration, and related subjects of study. We encourage you to apply!
